MEDIA

Role of Media…

This is one of the most debatable topic …no doubt media has lost the way ..media is not highlighting the plight of poor and downtrodden sections of society. They are too busy to follow the weddings of cine stars. They always highlight the rosy pictures of the society…but let us ponder on one issue..is media solely responsible for this situation?...in my opinion this is not the case. We are also equally responsible for this..we are also more interested in knowing about the Kareena Kapoor’s dress, Shahrukh forthcoming films, Dhoni haircut style, and many such less important issues. Majority of us is not ready to take pain in knowing about the schemes of government. Very few are interested in knowing about the economic policies.

Media is just highlighting those issues which suit the mood of majority of public. So how we can say that media is not discharging their duties properly?

In a democratic country, everyone is allowed to express his/her views on any topic. Their comes the role of media. Media should highlight the important issues without being bias. We also must cooperate with the media and most importantly we have to change our attitude.

Hope that every one understands their specific duties. But after knowing the current situation, I am sure enough that it will take some time when media starts taking interest in more important issues and citizens also cooperating with them………..

To blame common people for the dawnfall of the moral duty of the Media, for me, is not correct at all. There are other avenues to tell the public about what Kareen or Shahrukh does in his personal life or even professionally.........the immensely popular PAGE 3...........To intrude into these avenues by the general print or electronic media is nothing but a rat race.......A race towards getting the highest TRP.........Its not the common people to blame for that. Its the moral duty of media to do what they ought to and leave everything else to their respective field.....Leaving behind the profit-making mentality........

Anyway, welcome to the world of blogging........

my views r a bit different..such news vividly reveals the psyche of society that its not at all interested in the boring crap politics and violence, but wants masala news...may b it can b considered as a sign of country's prosperity where people want to enjoy fullest and other issues which seem important can be well governed without much media involved in it..no offence intended..

i dont feel like common man is responsible for this.. os common man responsible for programs like ,saas bahi aur sazish' and 'comedy circus' being aired in a news channel.
ok agreed to some extent as there is a sprcific audiens following cine stars but what about the pathetic journalism that follows everywhere. people dying out in draught hit regions, someone has lost his dear one and journalists ask ques. like how r u feeling????
